DUMMY GOVERNOR QUINN OF ILLINOIS LIES ABOUT REASON FOR ILLINOIS JOB LOSSES-REAL REASON IS THE 66% INCREASE IN TAXES, FAILED GOVERNMENT TOO

Illinois' unemployment rate shot up almost half a percentage point in August to 9.9 percent. It was a fourth straight month of diminishing job prospects that state officials blame on weak consumer confidence and the struggles of the national economy.

Lies, lies and more lies and deceptions by the "state officials" in Illinois.

Even the state's manufacturing sector, which had been a bright spot even as other types of employers shed jobs the past few months, cut employment in August.

Illinois will be the poster child for failed government dominated by the Democrats who control the state legislature as well as the governorship.

After the most inept and corrupt governor of Illinois, "BLAGO", was convicted of trying to sell the Illinois senate seat of Barack Obama and self dealing, and is awaiting sentencing, his replacement, Pat Quinn has pushed though the largest tax increase in Illinois history.

Illinois also has the dubious distinction of being some $8 billion behind in paying its bills, has an approximate $100 BILLION unfunded liability to various teacher and government unions, and a consistent budget deficit of some $5 BILLION or more.

Illinois has been described as the WORST state or a close second to California as a failed state, insolvent, bankrupt. This is the result of Democratic party dominance, liberals out of control. Additionally Illinois is a 'sanctuary state" for illegal aliens who can also get in-state tuition rates in colleges, as well as a variety of free services such as health care.

Is it any wonder that it's unemployment will skyrocket?

What business would want to expand into Illinois...NONE!

Any prudent businessman would be nuts to expand in Illinois, when both Indiana and Wisconsin, the neighboring states offer a much better business friendly climate.

This is not an improving economy in this state. Furthermore, compounding this is the fact that the largest county in Illinois, Cook County, " CROOK COUNTY", has the dubious distinction of having the highest sales tax of any location in the USA at 10.5% ( and they are wondering why retail sales are not increasing).

Illinois should have the motto on its license plates changed from, LAND OF LINCOLN, to: Dumbest State Government.

Illinois' unemployment rate surged up from 9.5 percent in July but has been increasing since it was at 8.7 percent in May, according to the Illinois Department of Employment Security. The national jobless rate held steady in August at 9.1 percent.

"We know that consumer confidence drives our economy, and that confidence has been shaken across our country," Department of Employment Security spokesman Greg Rivara said. "So it is a challenge for any state to sustain positive momentum while the national economy remains so uncertain."

Hey, dummy, it is Illinois we are talking about, it is Illinois that has policies, tax rates and government that is killing jobs and business activity...wake up dummy!

Nationally, pessimism about the economy increased sharply in August, (IS THIS SUPPOSED TO BE A SURPRISE?) according to the Conference Board, the private group that surveys Americans every month about consumer confidence. The board's monthly index fell more than 14 percent.

The number of unemployed people in Illinois actively looking for work increased in August by 25,400 to 653,000, the department said. That's an increase of 4 percent.

CAN YOU EVEN CONSIDER THAT THIS NUMBER IS WAY OFF SINCE THE PEOPLE THAT STOPPED LOOKING FOR WORK ARE NOT REPORTED, AS ARE MANY OTHERS WHO ARE JUST IN A STATE OF GIVING UP?

The true unemployment rate nationally is in excess of 20%, and if that is the case, I bet that Illinois is at 25% and will climb and climb.

Local governments continue to struggle with tight finances, driven down both by decreasing tax revenues and the state's troubles finances. Illinois' government is months behind on payments to local governments and institutions around the state because of its ongoing multi-billion-dollar budget deficit.

In all, Illinois has shed about 12,000 government jobs since May, down to 843,300, or 1.4 percent. DO WE REALLY NEED 843,300 GOVERNMENT WORKERS IN ILLINOIS???

Manufacturing had been a bright spot as unemployment inched up over the summer, with Illinois-based companies such as Caterpillar and Deere continuing to prosper on strong exports. i GUESS HE FORGOT HOW THESE COMPANIES BOTH TOLD THE GOVERNOR THAT THEY WOULD PREFER TO MOVE OUT OF ILLINOIS DUE TO THE NEW TAXES???

Food production and auto manufacturing have both been strong, too, said Jim Nelson, vice president of the Illinois Manufacturers Association. But even some strong categories of manufacturers have begun to see sales flatten.

"When we have a net loss of a thousand over the month, there's more cause for concern than there is optimism," he said.

Gov. Pat Quinn plans to leave Friday on a trade mission to China intended to boost Illinois export prospects, for raw agricultural goods such as soybeans but also other sectors of the state's economy.

MESSAGE TO PAT QUINN....SOYBEAN FARMERS ALONE ARE NOT GOING TO SAVE THIS STATE, SINCE THEY MOSTLY UNDER-REPORT THEIR TRUE INCOME LIKE MOST FARMERS ANYWAY. MORE SOYBEAN SALES, AND INCOME UNDER-REPORTING WILL NOT CREATE MORE JOBS IN ILLINOIS.

But then again Mr. Quinn gets a free trip to China for him and his entourage on the taxpayer expense account.

Talking about that trip Friday in Chicago, the governor said the state's economy and the confidence of its businesses and its residents has been battered by the uncertainty created by events in Washington such as the debate over raising the nation's debt ceiling but also economic problems in European countries such as Greece.

What a liar! Events in Greece are the cause of the fiscal calamity in Illinois????
What nonsense, what lies?

"I think everyone knows that it was a rough summer," he said. "It has been a turbulent year for the world economy and all of us are affected by it." Wrong Mr. Quinn, it is YOU and your policies and your high taxes that are the cause of the economic decline of the state. Also your payment and support of Illegal aliens!

Illinois' summer job losses are translating into tough times for people already struggling, said Jason Greenly, a supervisor at The TIME Center, a homeless shelter and soup kitchen in Champaign.

Demands on the center's soup kitchen have increased the past few months, he said.

"The curve is definitely going upwards," he said. "Of those who are able to work, the challenge is there's just less work to be had."

And rest assured, that there will be less and less work. There is no way that anyone would suggest to start a business in Illinois or to expand in this state...at least not while Quinn and his Democrat zombies are running this state.
